    Hi all,

I am new to adwords and I was wondering where I can find the bidprices for the adwords keywords wich I want to use. Will that be shown to me when I set up the advertisements ? Or are there any other ways to find this out ?

Also, are the bidprices directly related to the earnings someone will get via an adsense click ?

    Thnks,
    Gdev

When you set up an adwords campaign you will see estimates, but they are pretty much worthless because they are based on google search - and many advertisers don't allow their ads to run in the content network - which is where ads run on individual owners sites.

The amount a publisher receives is based on what the advertiser pays, but because google factors in CTR and their Smart Pricing, you aren't able to know what you will be paid for an ad - and the amount is recalculated weekly. The estimator tool can give you an idea of which keywords will likely cost more than others, but that's about it.

You can't know the bid prices with AdWords, unlike Yahoo Search Marketing where you can see current bids using a tool like www.pixelfast.com/yahoo.

Maybe you could use YSM data as a benchmark, but I wouldn't rely on it because:
    *yahoo's cpcs are generally higher
*bid management software can hide the advertiser's true maximum bid from overture's system

Anyway, it wouldn't necessarily help you to see AdWords bids because AdWords doesn't rank based on bid amount like Yahoo (overture).

But, there are rumours that there will be this kind of competitive intelligence available for AdWords very soon. So until then, it's trial and error with Google.
