where were you and what were you doing on 9/11?

it was my day off so i was doing the ironing whilst watching tv. 'neighbours' was on and it was interrupted by a newsflash showing a plane flying into one of the twin towers, i remember thinking 'what a terrible accident', then another plane flew into the other tower and i just froze in complete disbelief.
i remember reasoning that it couldn't be another accident then my stomach fell as i realised that it must have been planned.
my husband and children were out at work and at school and i suddenly felt so alone and just wanted to be with someone or talk to somebody but i had to wait until they came home. i have never felt so shocked by a news item in all my life. it seemed to suddenly threaten everything i had up till then thought was safe.

god it has been 5.5 years now.... actually i think it has been enough now. 3000 people died and a building collapsed and everyone is like omgomgomgomg, but when a hurricane or earthquake or another distaster destroys whole cities, killing 200.000 people, but it's not in the usa, everyone just doesn't care (maybe 1-2 news items and one after a year).

Something just doesn't seem right there......

but to answer your question -> I was at school.

Yep. I remember everything that happened that day (and the day after). I'd just got back to my hotel room in Sydney and switched on the TV when I first heard about it - seems like yesterday.

Why on earth do you have to ask this question?! There are many Americans here who probably aren't very happy to hear about this again. And not only Americans.

So, stop asking stupid questions. (just to boost your post count)

actually i was just doing a different take on the 'where were you when kennedy got shot?' seeing as the readership will not remember that one.
as for americans feeling saddened by this, ok, i feel saddened by it, but surely that doesn't mean we can't talk about it. i mean the jewish holocaust still gets a good airing, and so it should, i don't think it is ever healthy to sweep these things under the carpet.

I don't think it's a stupid question. It's like asking where were you when JKF was shot. Or when man "landed on the moon" (ahem...).

It was a major event that (nearly) everyone can relate to, and as a tiny little community we shouldn't be discouraged from sharing our experiences and memories of the event.

Ignore it and it will go away.

I was at school at the time. None of the teachers let the news out to anyone, so I found out at home after school. I didn't realise what the Twin Towers where, being Twelve at the time and living in the UK, I hadn't heard of them or knew how important they were. From that day it became clear that no one in the world is safe from danger and this was just the beginning of the terrorist attacks as the UK, London where hit in 2005 and that worried me even more because it was closer to home.

Yah that whole nine eleven trash is all fake it was set up. The planes hit and the building would still stand. There is no way in hell the twin tower can fall unless there were explosives.

Don't tell me you guys don't know that. There was a cause in England where a low flying Passenger Plane hit a building and they extracted it. There were explosives in the twin towers.

Did you also know every jew corporate company left the building 3 months before this happened.

Bet you guys didn't now that because your all caught up by the media.

    ~Sheen91

PS : I wont argue with anyone because its pointless. You will always thin your right saying rubbish when i state facts and always win.

I will try and compile the information and show you the proofs of the England crashing and the Witnesses of the building being bombed down with explosives. This is because the building fell straight down. Only able to be done with explosives.
