Hello, Can anybody suggest a starting point to link development. My website is not launched yet, but I want to be ready when it does go live. Thanks.
Start submitting to the free directory lists. Make sure you set up the page titles on your site correctly and ensure you use targeted anchor text when making your submissions. Start with an easy search phrase, secure it and understand that the stuff you do, can be made to work. You are then going to spend a lot of time making mistakes. It is unfortunate but all you have to rely on is a lot of bad advice. Learn to sift through it to find the real stuff. Keep it simple.
First make sure your site is up and working otherwise directory owners will not approve your links. 1. Start by submitting Google XML Sitemap to Google through Google Webmaster tool 2. Put link in your DP forum signatures. 3. Start compiling the list of related sites & blogs in the matching market so you can find if there is anyway to get link there by asking for link trade or by posting a comment. 4. Do not forget social bookmarking..so bookmark site on all top social sites 5. Submit to as many as good web directories as possible Hope this get you started on link building campaign for your upcoming site.
Depends on what you want to do. If you're looking to build a lot of links fast, check out Scrapebox. Though I don't suggest using your primary domain in Scrapebox blasts. Instead, use buffer pages. Cheap .info domains with 301 redirects, articles, etc. If you want to do things slowly, write articles, submit to web 2.0 sites, create hubs, lenses, etc. You can also mix in manual blog commenting to build links quickly, though not as quickly as using Scrapebox.
Why do you say do follow blogs? You either get yourself flagged on Akismet as a time waster and pest or the blog master goes no follow in desperation. What do you hope to gain?
Start by submitting sitemap and submitting to directories, especially DMOZ. And it's better to submit to niche directories. Also submit to social networking sites.
I suggest, do not start link building until you upload your site. If submit your site directories, many of them will not approve it because they will not find your URL. Keep 10 to 15 articles ready to submit to sites like ezinearticles etc. When you upload your site then you can submit these articles. Then only start link building like directory submission, bookmarking, forums, blogs, articles etc..
Search for related keywords for your website. When you launched your website then you can start SEO for your website
No no link exchanges. That's old now and won't get you far. Just start with a bit of everything. Directories, blog comments, guest posts, get some social networks going also. Don't overlook the power that twitter links can have. I see ScrapeBox was mentioned earlier, but I have seen a couple of instances where these have only provided temporary rankings....
Blog commenting is not effective. First, you have to find no follow blog, then you have to write a comment that is not spammy, then owner will approve or no. takes time and not guaranteed backlink. Forums are better because it's easier to find dofollow forums + You can always change your signature or add multiple links in it. Article Directories are good also. Submit them in several directories and you get backlinks (+ traffic) Social Bookmarking - not only for traffic but it affects serp as never now. Profile Links - not very good but can get lots of them easily. ETC.
You may start submit your site on those good web directory list wherein there's a good traffic. Then if you want to top the SERP rank a lot faster, you can hire SEO professionals or you can do it by yourself but be sure that you know a lot of link building techniques. Variety of link buildng techniques to be applied on your site will guaranteed your top notch on SERP rankings and traffic as well will be generated Organic traffic.
You need to start with directory submission and search engine submission after that go with article submission and forum post, blog comment, then move on link bulding
there are some steps 1-Submit your site to web directories 2-write some articles related to your site 3-Submit articles 4-Social Bookmarking sites 5-forums 6-Blogs
