Where to start?

I am new looking to get into affiliate marketing. My friend has been pretty successful with this stuff so I think I can get some tips off of him and make some nice money with CPA offers and such. All I would like to know is where you would suggest a 100% beginner to start off with what website, any particular offers, and maybe basic ways to start advertising? I'm mainly looking for any info that may be helpful!

    Thanks!
    dan.

it'll take you a couple months but it's better in the long run than any attempts to generate cash fast
oh yeah and do keyword research before you begin. try to find an untapped niche

do you think I should start a movie site that is free and when it starts to get popular I could start putting cpa lead offers on the pages telling them they can complete or pay a monthly fee to continue to watch the videos? If you get what I'm saying maybe charge $5/mo for videos or the cpa offer per video? Would CPA companies not allow the incentives or what? If not I could just sell advertising since adsense wouldn't be allowed. Or just make it 100% free 24/7...no movie site has yet to do that and be reliable...I wouldnt host the videos, just link (I have a private source).

CPA Lead has been closing accounts with sites that include movies like there's no tomorrow. They say it's because of copyright issues but they never had a problem with it for the longest time. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend your idea (although it would've been a great one a couple of years ago).

If you don't have a large budget then I would recommend that you stick with free traffic sources. Paid traffic takes a lot of money at first if you want to be successful with it.

You can try video marketing. Article marketing and SEO are some other good options but they will take longer.
