Iam an experienced professional in website development but very new in serach engine field. Iam wondering where to start. I have read books and forums on SEO and pageranking. I SEO'd my site and submitted to search engines. DO I have to now? 1) get Reciprocal links (for page rank)? 2) write Articles with my website signature 3) Post to forums with my website signature 4) Post Blogs with my website signature Are these steps effective and legal(according to google)? I sometimes get boggled with the enormity of the tasks. But I know Iam capable of doing it. I just want to know what are the right steps for getting higher rankings. Can anybody guide me with the correct steps with correct order. If somebody wants, he/she can give me tasks for his/her sites and guide me. I will do it as a learning experience and act of gratitude.
All of the above. If busy, you can also hire and article writer as well. And try to get good links rather than mass links.
Guess What my friend, i was at the exact place where u were and i will tell u what to do. First, Remember there are search engines other than google too, so dont emphasize on google only. If your website is all ready than start to sumbit your site in non-reciprocal directories which are seo friendly. If your site is a quality site than PR8 & PR9 directories are the best. if you choose the right title and right keywords, your site will start gaining a lot of visitors. The more the directories you sumbit in the more the visitors. If you need lists of FREE non-reciprocal directories of PR3, PR4, PR5, PR6, PR7, PR8 and PR9, PM me Cheers
I dont want to sound lazy but I need a list of free non reciprocal/reciprocal directories. Can anybody help me out. Thanks

Submitting your site to a search engine is, at best, a complete waste of time - at worsed, it can get you penalized. If you have links pointing to your site, the spiders will find your site and index it. No need to submit your site to the SEs.
Huh? I was meaning you've checked your web site stats and logs and you know they're not coming... You check your google stats at http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/siteoverview and you know it's not visiting... Your site has no google cache... more often than not you novice webmasters think they don't visit when they do - they just don't like the site and that's a whole different conversation
This is what I got from http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/ Googlebot last successfully accessed your home page on Jul 18, 2006. But, It only visited my homepage and not other pages??
Do your stats bear that out? what does the site: query show. Oh, and thanks for the PM, but I'll pass on the free labour thing for now, unless you want to do some directory submissions, but that's not really what you're after is it? This is interesting: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http://www.enovabiz.com/
Site: query shows just the index page? Are you implying that google robot cannot roam through the site. But I used Xenu link slueth, it spidered the site w/o much trouble. I guess google spiders are much powerful then theirs so Google should not have any trouble.
