Hi guys, A webmaster has created me a blog that looks very similar to http://www.myideaguy.com/blog/ NOW I WANT TO MAKE MONEY FROM IT I need advice on using a blog to: 1) Get a high page rank on google 2) Build my list 3) Make affiliate commissions Now i have done research and i need some feedback if this is the right way to go about it. Hehe...a lot of products and things mentioned above is junk. Write good quality articles yourself or outsource it. A lot of things can be done for free instead of the softwares you mentioned. Using RSS feed content as blog posts would land you nowhere but google supplemental index!
. My belief about people who have decided to throw their hat into the internet marketing ring and get their share of overnight success and cash is that many start off on the wrong foot. Even the good intentioned. Am I suggesting that you are one of these folks, no. But, your intention and priority seems to only serve yourself, and do what everybody else is doing, which unless thats "saving the world", usually means adding to an already out of control giant hairball of ordinary. WOW! Duplicate Content That's Published Elsewhere, AND Automatic Content?! It's Like It's Christmas, My Birthday And My Easter Basket All Rolled Into One! Who cares? Not exactly going out on a limb to break new ground, eh? Listen. Go ahead and do what you were planning to do. If you don't, tens of thousands will do the exact same thing right behind you. And some of them will make money. And you will keep fighting each other for the scraps, eventually oversaturating niches, and letting people who know how to provide real value EAT YOU for breakfast. If you approach your market or niche or business thinking "me. me. me." you are doing what most others do, and you'll get what most others have gotten: a great story to tell your friends and family about why Marketing Online sucks. Concentrate on quality articles buddy. Submit your sites to quality directories and get a good position in search engines. Dont worry too much about money. If you have quality you can always make a buck! What say?
Well said GetToThePointRob your post should be a caution for every newbie in this area. I can only add that if you want to make money you have give something instead it maybe your hard work, your quality article etc. Something that improves other peoples life. If your site will be low quality then be prepared for low earnings.
You are going about it the wrong way. Everything that you described says that you really have nothing to blog about, and you just want to attempt to capitolize on the SEO benefits of blogging. You are going to find yourself frustrated and wasting good money on junk that you could have done for free if you had just taken the time to create something of quality that has a purpose, or entertains readers. Automated blogs are not successful. You may satisfy Google with the basics, but no body will read it if it doesn't have any PEOPLE running it and writing for it. The more successful blogs are tun by people who have an idea, and the time to implement it, and take great care in the quality of the content. NOT, people who just want a blog, and just plop any old thing up looking for PR. Do you know any other business like that? Why do you think that you can automate your way to the top? If it was that easy wouldn't every one with a computer be making money with a blog? You are putting the cart before the horse. There are not very many successes online that don't actually offer something. If you don't have time to make something useful, or to pay someone to do it for you, you are wasting you time. It's amazing that page rank is more of an industry than actual quality content , functionality, originality, and design.
Hey guys thanks for your feedback so far Your insights have been very valuable to me I want the blog i have to be a hub for users in my niche I will be interviewing Experts so i will hopefully be seen as an Authority in my niche as i will be branded with experts The blog is Targeting Beginner and Advanced users Most of my traffic will be from JV Deals But I want the blog to be updated with *Interviews conducted by me with experts that will be free and fee based *Posts from me providing news of what is happening in the niche and news companies are making *Reviews by me of products being released *Blog posts from other gurus in the niche Does that sound like good blog content?
