Where to Sell?

Discussion in 'Hardware' started by MrRiccur, Jul 21, 2009.

I am looking for a place online where i could possible get rid of some hardware that doesn't work anymore. I was wondering if you guys had any ideas of where I could do this. Could I do it right in the forum? Or is there a site that anyone knows of where you can sell things like this?

I am really serious about this, so if anyone knows where I could let me know. Also, if this is the wrong place for this, please don't give me an infraction.

Depending on what the items are, it may not matter if they don't work.
If they're old/interesting enough, people will buy them for parts, or just to have.

Computer swap meets (that's what we call them AU anyway), are generally held in community halls, you pay $X amount to put your table full of computer junk in there, and people pay $X to get in the door and rumage through it. It's basically like a community yard/garage sale for computer bits and pieces.

If your hardware is truly worthless, then look up electronics recylcers in your local phonebook. They'll take you old hardware, then salvage all the good bits and (usually) make sure the toxic components don't end up in the earth/sea. They might even give you a few dollars if you're lucky :)

I never thought of an electronic recycler, but I will have to take a look at that. Cause I don't think I will be getting any money for my items. haha. Thanks for the assistance, if anyone else has any ideas of what I should do, let me know....

I will post it on ebay and see what happens. The reason why I didn't want is because it doesn't work anymore. Do you think people will buy something that doesn't work?

If it has some working parts that are now obsolete then some might buy, only if they can make better use of 'em.

Alright, I have posted it so hopefully I will have a buyer. It seems like there are a lot of items already on there, so it may be unlikely l that people bid on mine. What are the odds.

You need to find an IT distributor, depending on where you are in the world and where in the world your target markets are:cool:
