I am looking for new places to sell the articles that I write and was wondering if there were any other good sites besides Digital Point.
Hmm. Well, it was, but I see now the Writer Registration area is just a mess of jumbled code. Maybe they're not taking new sign ups anymore. Anyway, as a writer at DA, you used to could set the price/rights for your stuff just like at Constant Content. You might send a message to someone there and ask if they are accepting new people.
Yeah, I noticed the jumbled code as well, wasn't sure if it was just like that or not. Thanks for the information. Appreciated!
I haven't had much success selling pre-written content to interested buyers. Constant Content requires top quality. If you have enough articles on a certain niche you might be better off setting them up on your own site and earning some ad rev.
I used to sell a lot here on DP. If you are looking to make a quick $20 or something then writing something about a relevant topic will general get a successful sale. For example: just before new year I wrote a few articles on New Years Resolutions and they were sold within 10 minutes of me posting the ad on here. I do agree that your own site will give a lot more credibility to your work and you can always monetize it like you said.
Honestly besides DP there really aren't that many options for selling pre-written content (quickly anyway). You can always use the content yourself though or approach websites whom you think could use the articles in exchange for something.
It's normally kind of hard to sell pre-written content. The best thing would be to find someone who needs articles and write what they want as they will be more willing to pay you for it than you trying to sell them something they haven't asked for.
If you're not selling them here then what makes you think you would have more success elsewhere? It's likely time for you to contemplate a better marketing strategy. Perhaps you require someone who has experience in this field? Sometimes we have to spend money in order to make it.
Have you thought about setting up your own store? I've done that and I manage to make quite a few sales and my content isn't cheap like it is on the BST board here. I do focus on quality though and my content is (on the whole) cheaper than Constant Content so... I've thought about opening my shop to other sellers but I have a feeling it would be a nightmare to moderate
I can sell you pre-written articles , or if you want me to write on a particular topic you can PM me your details too... My charges are very less around 5$-10$ per article depending on the number of words.... minimum payout is 5$ for 400 words.... rates are negotiable if you are buying it for bulk like a term of 1 month.... let me know if you are interested..
Constant Content is a good site to use. You can upload as many articles as you want and select whether you want to sell the entire article or just rights for it to be used. The best thing about just selling the rights is that once it's uploaded, you won't have to do anything else as it will permanently be there for you to earn cash from.
In theory it sounds good, but who in their right mind wouldn't want exclusive rights to an article especially when used for online publishing.
If any of you have industry- specific content, but want a comprehensive distribution system for your industry, get in touch. We have a seriously scalable platform and a great business model. In it's original from (www.legalrss.co.uk) it has become the largest supplier to the UK legal profession in 30 months.
Exactly - not many people do. On CC you have the option to sell exclusive rights though. I've submitted articles to CC before and their editors are vastly different in what they accept to say the least. One article that I submitted kept getting returned to me for comma mistakes - I'd edit it and someone else would pick up on something else. I don't think they realise that the use of commas is different for UK English. Plus I have done SEO work for a client who buys content from there - some of what he buys is atrocious and the amount of articles that don't pass Copyscape is unbelievable - he was always sending them back.
Thanks for that dcristo, most appreciated. Been a while since I've been here, things have changed a lot.
