    I am currenttly in the market for a forum logo. Has anyone on here purchased a logo before? If so what were the results? Where did you buy it? And how much should a person pay for a logo?

    You can host a contest here and you will be able to choose from a variety and pick a winner(s) at the end. It's great and I've seen some great ones being created in the past.

    I''ve seen some from £5 to £80 and the timeline could be up to you for example 24 hour. Yeah you are only required to pay the winner. You can see some examples on the contest forum

    To clarify: A forum logo, and by that do you mean like the picture of the solar system by my posts, or a logo for a forum you run about, say puppies?

    If it's the first one go with a solid, highly ranked Fiverr designer with a portfolio you like. And be specific about about you want in your logo.

    If you're looking for a logo for a real business, go with 99Designs. Pretty expensive but top notch work, and you start a design contest, where you get great designers competing for you to choose their design. Once you find one you like, only then do you pay the price.

    I am also looking for a logo designer. I can't run a contest yet, but I think I would prefer to hire someone direct that has a good portfolio and does really nice modern looking logos.

    Then once you posted requirements, you will start getting Designers replies, then depending upon their prices and work quality you should choose one.

    Prices for a Logo design may go $5 to upto $500.

    You can try hiring someone to do the logo for you instead of buying one out from somewhere. Why? You can personalize everything and it would be easy on your part as well.

    When it comes to logo design, you generally get what you pay for. If you just want a simple web logo then a budget of $10-$50 will do, but if you want a professional logo from a respected web designer then you will likely pay $200 +.

    Freelancer.com is great for this kind of thing, as you can run a design contest and have options to choose from. I have worked with great logo designers from these forums as well, and I am sure many have already contacted you about the logo design by now.

    Well I never bought a logo as I am a designer and design and sell logo to my clients... I will design a logo for you if you say... NO-Upfront :)
