Where to promote my humor blog

Hi,

I was looking for suggestions of places to promote my humor blog (www.wittyfish.com). I have been receiving regular amounts of traffic for the past year but the traffic doesn't seem to increase so I am looking for some suggestions of places I can promote my site at that will help it grow some steady traffic. No quick hits like stumbleupon please.

Submit to a few niche directories, perhaps. There are lists of some on http://info.vilesilencer.com and http://www.directorycritic.com .

 

Have you tried some of the stuff mentioned in this article. It lists 45 ways that you can get traffic to your site and also build some backlinks.

8everything: I have most of the ping services setup in my blog. Thanks I did add a few though.

 

Try good old fashioned word of mouth. Tell people in real life - I think that's the best form of marketing on the planet

 

Posting comments on other blogs is a good way to receive related traffic. You should also consider getting some backlinks and submitting to directories.
