Just wondering where is a good place to pre-order? Anyone any idea who gets the domain if two people try to buy the same one?
I used Lycos coz u dont have to pay. Lycos dont let you reserve it if someone else has already reserved it through lycos, doesn't mean to say it couldnt hve been reserved through another company yet though. I figured lycos must be one of the bigger ones so gives a better indication of whether it is available, and hopefully does a better job at acquiring them! I get the impression that once trademarks and company names have had their pick and what is left is released, it is a bit of afree forall between the domain companies to try and get them for you. No doubt come companies will put the ones they have interest in to auction but I dont think lycoswill. the url: webhosting.lycos.co.uk/order/prereg/domain/eu/
Hi, You can also order at http://directi.com think they are also official registrar for .eu domains now.
Try " united-domains . de" they offer a trustee service, that makes it easier. Anyhow, max. 10 pre-registrations per domain, domain goes if captured to the first interested party, if they do not want it it will be offered to the 2. and so on... Keep in mind that, if you dislike this idea, most good domains are pre registered many times through all registrars anyway.
Have a look at http://www.dnseuropa.com Landrush domains at 12,5 Euro/year. As from 50 domains: 12 Euro/year. kind regards, Sven
