Where to place keywords other than <title><title/>

    Hi guys, I'm noob!

I wish to place some keywords in my site so the crawlers can notice it. But i don't want them in title, then i would have the keywords all over the top of the browser and i don't like that idea.

    Any suggestions?

I'm not skilled in html, just trying to remember a few things from school.

Besides the header tags it is also good to place your keywords within the first sentence of each (or most) paragraphs of text.

Another good place might be your image alt tags

Focus on writing content for your users. Pay attention to where the keywords are, and what they are. Places that can help improve the weight of the keywords (if used appropriately that is), are the title element, headings, title and alt attributes, and link text.

Don't abuse them though, or over-use them either. If you do, you'll probably regret it.

And please, for the love of God (or whatever diety you may or may not worship), do not repeat keywords over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

See how annoying my previous sentence was? Your visitors wil think the same of your site's content if you do the same thing. Place the keywords appropriately, and make them appear to be there naturally, as in organically. Your visitors (and the search engines) will be far more likely to thank you than you realize. :)
