I was wondering what is the best place for information on seo. I currently do site design, and would like to learn this to offer to clients as well. And even for my own site too. Any good information will be appreciated.
Firstly, don't even begin to think about offering it as a service to anyone else until you've been trying things out on your own site for at least 18 months. That being said - seomoz blog is always worth a look, as is sphinn.com - and this guide to seo is as good a primer as exist anywhere - http://www.hobo-web.co.uk/seo/
1) read from authority sources like seobook.com 2) test the concepts for own site to truly see what works and what doesnt 3) go to services section of DP and see what services people are selling to get link building ideas
You can learn lots from this forum. I've learned lots from Michael Gray here: http://www.wolf-howl.com/ I've got a few articles on my blog as well.
Thank you for all your replies. And I deffinitely would not offer this as a service untill i actually knew what worked from doing it myself to my own site, and like someone said for some time. I will deffinitely check out the places everyone mentioned as well as signing up with the forums you guys posted. Thanks for the useful info!!
There is an SEO training course from a leading SEO blog called SEOBook.com. Their registration if free and their training course is well designed. I bet it will be very helpful.
