Hi DP'ers, I have a bit of a tear at the seams with where my future career lies.. On one hand i work in administration, always wanted to, however my biggest dream was to successfully run my own website, and make a comfortable living off of it. I understand it takes time and patience, i am full of patience. I have so many ideas, however i think i lack the knowledge and funds to actually take off in the direction i want. I am self taught, i have never done a course. Everything i know is by reading online tutorials and manipulation of code. I am comfortable with coding. What i am wondering is for those who have sites.. Where did you get the idea? How much Time and Money did you put in to its success? What Resources and tips could you pass on? May i see what your site looks like as well? Any help would be appreciated. I dont want referral links, any PTC/PTS/PTWhatever to start a business, i simply want legitimate ideas from those who have managed to make a comfortable living off their project/dream. I'd appreciate webmasters, not affiliates wanting free hits to respond please. )
Build a community around something that YOU are passionate about not just because you read somewhere how lucrative a particular niche might be. I went thru 100s of domains and ideas before i realized this.
