A Squidoo lens would do you good! Like, if you have specialized in a particular niche then it would be really good to look for the most searched keywords in that niche. The next step is to build a nice Squidoo lens around the most targeted keywords. Mind you that it is not only keywords that you have to focus on. A well structured, relevant and thought provoking content is a MUST! From then on, it will only take some time for people to find it. I agree with turbulence. Squidoo lenses would be excellent for driving traffic to your site. You could make several lenses with each one focussing on a specific aspect of DIY. This would be better than a lens about the site itself. Get good Squidoo URLs and use a combination of single word and tag phrases that people would type into search engines when looking for such information.
