Where to get targeted advertising?

Discussion in 'General Marketing' started by Loskas, Dec 7, 2007.

I got a product to sell, a software.
I need to get targeted advertising for it, as cheap as possible.
I'm not okay with a method that bills my cc every 30 days or when I have advertised for 50$ etc. So no subscriptions or credit cards!

I'd prefer to pay straight from my Paypal account. Withou any subscriptions. And to a targeted group.

    Any suggestions?

You may not need to pay for targeted visitors. Have you tried the typical free methods to do so? - blogging, free ads, link exchange, etc?

Clickbank, join the millions of others that are selling software and ebooks lol. I believe it costs $50 to get an account, but then you have thousands of affiliates at your disposal.

I agree. Clickbank is probably your best bet here.

Also use programs like PadSubmit to submit your software's information to software review websites and directories.

I would write a few well-written informative articles around the
type of product you are selling and submit them to the top
    article directories.

Everyone wants cheap targeted traffic but you do get what you pay for most of the time.

Perhaps try hand selecting sites to advertise on....

    What Ruby said.

I'm afraid that's the bottom line.

I can provide marketing techniques such as article writing or blogging or if you havea site getting it bookmarked by a bunch of people. Let me know if any of these services interest you and I will see what I can do to help you.

It's not my own product, I read an ebook telling about selling software with general public lisence.
So Clickbank wouldn't maybe be so good...

You will need to tackle this from all angles. News release distribution, writing articles and distributing, social bookmarking, social communities, blogs, forums. Also try cnet.com's download area to submit your software for download. good luck.

Make some demos and videos of your software, go to forums and make it your sig. Gain your reputation.
This isn't something thats going to happen overnight. You will have to work at this and work at it.
Get a .com and advertise your software on your own site. Make a nice advertising campaign and get some pay pal buttons. People will come. Just work and work.
