Where to get news articles from?

I want to start a news portal. From where can I get full-length news articles? Are there any paid or unpaid sources?

    Thanks in advance.

If you want to pay, you could try the wire services like AP or Reuters (but that won't be cheap by any stretch). You could hire regular freelancers to write your news. Or you could write it yourself based on things like press releases put out by companies.

You could also use others' RSS feeds, but only if you understand that material in feeds is still copyright protected (format doesn't determine copyright), and you have to make sure you're allowed to publish their feed in full and on a commercial site. Of course, that wouldn't be unique content and would have little SEO value if that's what you're looking for.
