I am trying to build a list of people that are looking for work at home opportunities, and I was wondering if I could use the email addresses from all the people that I talk to on yahoo groups? All these people are looking for ways to work from home just like me. Is this ok to do?
that is not ok under the can-spam act. They have to opt-in to your mailing list. If you send them mail, it is considered illegal. Go read the guidelines for the CAN-SPAM act.
I have to agree on that. Forcing people on to your mailing list is not a good way to do it. Try starting a website/landing page for a product or something that they can get if they opt in to your email list.
I would not suggest that. You will have to build your own list. It is quite simple and straight forward. There's training videos at http://the6figuresuccess.com you can check it out.
I'd recommend launching a cheap and simple ppc campaign and send your traffic to a landing page, catch their emails and there ya go.
since the op want work from home niche, google ads is not viable because google adwords disallow that, dont try it, your adwords account will be get banned immediately.
May get it on social networking sites, forums, your relatives, friends, or even newspapers advertisements may give you many such addresses.
I agree...That would be considered spamming. It is so many easy ways you can generate your own leads and not have to spam. There some examples below. Article Marketing Video Marketing Banner Ads Text Ads Ezine Solo There is no need to spam...when there is 100 ways to send traffic to your website and generate your own leads.
You need to study the policies from google, yahoo, aol before sending bulk emails to users. IF rules aren't followed properly your domain and IP will be blocked by them permanently
build a website first with an optin form. If you are well known within that group, you should not have any trouble sending people to it and getting them to optin to your list. Offer them a good incentive as this usually drives more people to take action.
I wouldn't but e-mail lists usually they are fake e-mail addresses. If you do have the money I would do it with PPC but if you do it wrong it can cost you...Building it manually will take time
