Well to get good traffic you need to start SEO'ing your website and the traffic will come eventually. Have you thought of Adwords campaigns to start getting traffic to your site immediatley? In terms of where to get links from, have you tried Googling your competitors or other websites in a similar market and checked out the backlinks of those web sites?
Start with DMOZ and other directories that include online gaming as a category. That will give you a few backlinks depending on how much time you spend on it. Also post your link on free classifieds where allowed.
I have done the SEO I can't afford adwords right now but will soon I tried posting on gaming site but it is very little site(my competitors are like miniclip) I submmented it to all the popular directories I always post my link when ever I can Any more tips?
You can't enter DMOZ so easy, better go for some link exchange or obtain some link packages, but anyway flash sites are rather hard to optimize further so i suggest you to have html pages along with flash content.
Start by submitting your site to social bookmarking site and search engine submission to let your site be known by other search engine besides google, bing and yahoo.
You have really picked a competitive niche! Really without some serious money behind a good SEO campaign, how is anyone going to know you are there, Miniclip is some tough competition.
Online gaming is a very competitive niche with some very big players. I would go for link exchanges with other arcade sites and article submissions
I would advice you to start with the basic and create accounts in as many social bookmarking sites as possible and finish off the bookmarking of all your pages. Then at a later stage you can cross bookmark these pages. Remember to have a unique and original content on your pages, dont just copy the text or spin it. Then go for some article directory submission sites, 5 sites a week is more than enough. Also checkout the site blogcatalog.com where you will find lots of other bloggers of your same niche. Try making good relationship with them at first and then ask them for a link exchange. You can even get good ideas from the same niche bloggers in any comments posted on that site.
