What is a online sitemap? Is that not as good?

What is the addition benefit to get a paid sitemap than a FREE one?

A sitemap enables engine spiders to index your site more accurately.
I can't imagine why you'd pay for one, unless you have a huge site.
This is Google's tool, so it should be pretty friendly.

Recommend you use an ftp prog. to upload and not use dreamweaver (as it won't work)

Agreed. An easy, simple procedure. It will generate a sitemap for you to download to your computer. Then just upload it with your ftp tool of choice.

After that, go into your account (or open an account) at Google Webmaster Tools and at Yahoo! Site Explorer, and click on the "resubmit" button (or "submit" if it is your first sitemap submission).
