Where to find YPN invites?

Discussion in 'Publisher Network' started by Diddy1, Dec 2, 2006.

Ok this may sound dumb but here goes... I joined YPN when it started like a day after and I was accepted in like a week. I tried on a couple of my sites and it get me anything except a couple of cents. SO I switched back to adsense. Then I just found out about the invites and was wondering where those invites are located in the YPN center. My account i still there and I think I should have some invites but I don't know where to look so can someone point me in the right direction here?

    Thank You

What invites? If your account is setup, that's about it there are no "invites" links anywhere in the YPN publisher site.

As far as I understand the invites are those sent by YPN like the one they sent you when you applied. It is actually an acceptance email sent by YPN but they call it invite.

SO how is it that all these people are selling "invites" if they are just emails welcoming you to YPN ?

    Thank you

Yes the "invites" are the welcome to join YPN emails that you receive when you are approved to the network. The invites are nothing like Gmail's.

ppl sell the link within the invite emails. If you apply to join YPN multiple times with different sites you may get accepted more than once and ppl sell the ones they don't need.

By the way YPN does not allow transfer/sell, etc of these invites or accounts.

To those who pm'ed me, I am sorry I do not have an invite. I was just making a joke. I have applied to YPN a bunch of times. I got one denial, and a bunch of emails thanking me for my app but no invite.

    Good luck!

Unlike GMail where once you are accepted you are given invites to get your friends using GMail, YPN is different. Invites are sent only from YPN to people approved to join the network. Some people choose to sell those invites (against TOS) for short term profit as apposed to long term gain in developing sites.

more than likely the latest batch of invites being sent out are equipped with some sort of anti-transfer mechanism in place. for example, the invite could be associated with the email address and website used when applying and not using these associating factors when setting up the account might flag the new account for a rep to review. i know someone who bought an invite and was contacted by ypn asking how he got the account, whether he bought the account or the website and account, etc. he thought everything was cool after telling them it was his invite, etc. needless to say, his account was terminated shortly after.

anyone interested in paying todays "black" market rate for an invite or account should be weary as we already know that ypn has locked down the ability to change your tax info. it only seems likely they have implemented similar protection within their invites as well.

now this doesnt mean that you cant buy invites or accounts and properly utilize them without ypn catching on. but you have to be smart about it. dont ask me how, im not going to detail to anyone how to purposefully violate tos.

Thats very interesting, its about time they finaly took some measures against the fraud. It might cut back on the sales of the invites and spam on these forums.

Ypn has blocked you from changing tax info now?? won't that be unfortunate for ACTUAL ypn publishers who need to change their tax info?
