As the title says, anyone know sites that offer royalty-free music for a cheap price or for free? I've searched through Google and found a few such as http://www.incompetech.com/m/c/royalty-free/ but I was wondering if there is more out there.

Click on Sound Loops in the menu at the top.

Yes, Kevin's site Incompetech is awesome and inspired me to create my site.

I offer royalty free music under a creative commons commercial use allowed license. I have a variety of instrumentals you can use.

I'm not sure that is royalty-free, but the following two sites have great music collections offered for free, and they look very legit:

The first one is (you might be surprised) Archive.org (click the link to reach the right page) - here you may find music from live concerts in FLAC sound file format (this is a lossless file format - it don't lose quality of sound as MP3 do).

The second one is MusicExpress.com.br (with www!) - they have very nice music from Brazil in MP3 format. You may search the site by genre or by artist name. There are lots of beautiful musical pieces there. This site is a gem.

    just my 2c :)

I am a composer for Sony BMG , Chappell and Universal.

Here are my non exclusive tracks at the lowest prices on the net…

High quality drama scores, piano works, orchestral pieces, choral work, funk, hip hop and electronica.

Probably some of the best royalty free music on the net at the lowest prices of between $2.00-$3.95 a track.

My music is featured on Big Brother, MTV, Sky Sports, Top Gear and others.

Click to listen to 700 tracks in either of these accounts -

A site that I frequently use to stream music for free is Grooveshark.com. They have a HUGE library to choose from, and you can make your own playlists. I also run a hip hop blog that displays the best of new music daily. If anyone is interested, check it out at Jams4Days.com. I appreciate the support.
