I hope I am posting this in the right place. I am starting a blog about football, and I will need pictures for it. As I am not a photographer nor do I have photographer friends, where can I get quality pictures mainly pertaining to sports. I will also need an image bank I can pull other graphics and pictures from. Any and all help is appreciated! Cheers
There are lots of free options out there, just be sure and give credit when using creatives. We have an account with photobucket.com and it's well worth the expense. You might want to look into archive.org for public domain images, video and even films. It's an excellent resource.

Be very, very careful of free photos. We used free photo sites for one of our in house projects and years later got the legal documents from getty to prove they were, at some stage, stolen from Getty. We negotiated and got down to a reasonable fee. Find a way to record against each image where you got it from etc so if later, when you can't remember the specifics, you can still prove you have the right to the images.
