Hi, I am working on creating a car repair forum (www.autorepairforums.net), which is more for car repair forum that would cover a lot of professional topics. I have read bunch of articles about forum setup and start up. All of it refers to your friends as initial poster. What if you don't have a lot friends? It would take me a lot of time to try to feel it up by myself. Has someone tried those "post to your forum" services? Does it really work? What company would you recommend if any? Best regards.
I would recommend finding individual users here at DP. Request that the posters post for a certain amount of days rather than in one day or your forum may be as dead as when you first started it. Usually the users you hire will not come back to your forum after you pay them.
Try our services section at DP. There are many DP members who offer their paid services to do posting at the forums you choose. It is a good way to build some buzz around your forum
checkout the B/S/T section of this forum, and a friend of mine used this service too which he said worked very well. ive never personally used it so am only advising it on the word of my friend. http://www.forumbooster.net/
If you want to get it started by filling it with posts, then you can either do the posts yourself or hire someone. However, that won't get you any real members. To do that, you need to market the website.
