Where to find paid players for my site?

Hi there,

I have a multiplayer game site and I am launching it and trying to build up traffic.

I buy advertising however when my visitors come to my site they ind that there is nobody online to play, so they go away never to be back!

I'm just wondering how I can get some "paid players" for my site so that it is always busy?

Its kinda similiar to a paid poster for a forum!

Some people at DP (at least I do) willing to play for a reasonable charge

Haven't done this before so I have no idea about pricing. I would want people available for 1 day to play people that visit my guest rooms. Give me an idea of what your willing to do it for?

 

how about use term 'hour' instead of 'day' ? ... like $3-5/hour for a start?

 

I have some idea on it.
If you can pay some "ok" amount then I can do this for you I think.

 

If you pay per day I can play and possibly advertise for you around my arcade and friends etc.

 

Make a Press release telling people that you have launched your site, and would give $$$ to those who play your game?

 

Thanks Game Producer. Thats a pretty impressive service you have there, I'm gonna get a cost on redesigning my site to enable me to automate tournaments and prizes and also make a chat lobby in the main game lobby. Its a pool game by the way.

I hired somebody for 5 hours today and things went well so far. I'm considering a major site redesign to sort out some issues I found after testing with large amounts of visitors. Gonna be running great competitions on it soon.

Why dont you spend the money on advertising more and then there will be playes for oher players to play.

Maybe set up tournements at certain times with a small cash prize and there you should get a lot of people at the same time

 

You can pay people like me to do it, or you can use Simon's advice and advertise more.

 

I would also not mind being paid for it even tho it goes against my opinion i would happily get paid to pay

 

check my pm... u can advertise at some arcade site...

or start a referral contest... so tat they will refer their friend... and put prize money not like ipod... put something you can give... so tat they shud feel the referral contest is real...

Yeah working on a redesign right now with the guys who made the site. I'm gonna hold off on the hiring until thats done. I think advertising and hiring a few people is important for this type of site.

not like cash... like 50$ in cash or any product they want of same worth... i tried tat for my site... it got a good welcome there...

 

well, i'll give that option so, Ipod or equiv in cash.. need to get it coded first.
