If you don't have enough members on the forum to know of some members to ask, that would make good mods, your forum is too dead to even need mods!!! Or your too inactive to even bother having a forum!!!

Try developing it first. If it goes well you will easily pick some good moderators from your new members. Good luck

Every forums need time to grow. I'm sure your forum will be great if there are many thing special that people can find in your forums that can't be found in others.
    Good luck!

I would echo some of the things said here.

I started my own sports related forum a little while back, just me and a mate (who came onboard as a mod). It is growing steadily now, 125 members or so, but we can still manage to moderate it between the two of us. Once it gets too big, we will appoint from the members who are there most regularly.

Is this not the standard way for all forums?

Yep, this is the standard way of recruiting moderators, you recruit those that are active and well behaved and fair in your forum.

Well, I can help you in this depending on what you offer to mods.

I'm a really good mod and also very experienced.

If you're interested please PM me :)

I might be able to offer my services.
I have plenty of experience and if you are interested I can send it to you.

I have a few questions, what do we get for moderating for you?
    What is your forum?
    What does it talk about?

    Thanks,
    -Ryu

If you like, you can hop on over to my forum ;)
(at the navigation bar, to the site in my siggy)
and make a post asking for moderators, we have tons
of work at home moms there!

What i used as an incentive for my moderators,
was to offer them, thier own advertisement board on the forum.

I also think that i would be a good idea, to ask a few choice questions
via the phone, just to get a general feel for the person.

    Hope that helps! :)
