That’s exactly my point here, I haven’t seen your posts on press releases and yet I would recommend you. You made a strong client base because you have great PR skills which are an amalgamation of both social networking as well as subtle marketing and not because you have a link under your post. Networking though done sometimes with future business in mind isn’t about marketing at all. It’s about connecting with people that may or may not give you business but you do it anyways because you enjoy relating with people. They may not be people connected to your work in anyway but because they like you and relate to you, will remember you and if there is a slot anywhere, it will be you they recommend first. The ripple effect of networking is usually good unexpected job offer or work that you didn’t even know existed. Image building is hard core PR, which is actually a mantra to success more than anything else in the world. Marketing in isolation would never give the required results that’s why you need words like ‘social’, ‘relationship’, ‘word of mouth’ attached to that to give it an emotional touch. But networking works at all levels and that’s the beauty of it. However having said that, on DP your are the queen of marketing and PR and I am glad we are having these exchange of ideas.
Hi, you can visit rentacoder.com, elance.com, and getafreelancer.com to find good writers for articles, blog posts and ghost ebooks. In addition, you can also find good writers here at "digitalpointforums". Thanks, Eric
i think the key to find a good writer is when the buyer looks for quality and not just worry about paying for the article. if they consider the articles as some kind of an investment for larger things to come, hopefully. one should thoroughly go through the samples sent by the writers. if they consider them to be good enough, they can choose the writer or move ahead with other offers. also, it is advisable to be in contact with 2-3 good writers at the same time. this way, you would be assured that even if one of them lets you down, the others can step in.
There are good content writers here. I know Vgal and InternetAuthor for two. As far as marketing goes, it's a huge, vast, giant chasm of vehicles and opportunities. Recently I joined and got involved in some business clubs and the result happened MUCH faster than I anticipated. I wanted more local clients since sitting in my home office all day was getting old. I wanted OUT. I'm still here writing but I get out and get the creative juices flowing. More than that, it's a great way to meet others to team up with on projects that are hard to bid by yourself. And I can refer others who refer me. You simply try different things. I have work but I wanted a specific type of work and getting the word out has helped me land some of what I have been wanting.
My advice to youw ould be to find and work with someone you trust. The worst thing when hiring a writer is getting someone who won't communicate with you. The best writers keep you abreast on their work.
Whenever you hire a writer, source two more in the event your original provider does not deliver. This holds true to both online and print media.
I can guess the main reasons for this, as I have been in their shoes : A) They needed the cash quickly and only momentarily - hence sense of desperation - which leads me to B. B) You paid them jacks crap, the equivalent of 1cent per word and then (most likely) bargained them down to 1/2 a cent per word. Then the poor sod has gone out of their way to write a sizable amount of articles only to realize that the project is actually time consuming and they're earning $3 per hour, so they (force themselves to) complete the project in the knowledge that if they don't - then the previous 10 articles have (and were) written for nothing and if they have a sense of guilt or loyalty - they don't wish to disappoint you by saying it was a rip off and if they pull out now they get $0 for their efforts. So they complete the project and say "wow and well I am never doing that again" - hence you never hear back from the poor and sorry bugger.
You can find them here and some forum depending on your niche. You can try the Warrior Forum if you can't find a body here. Search this forum first.
