Where To Find A Designer?

I'm looking for a high level web designer/design company to overhaul a site of mine to make it more competitive to the major sites. But I'm having a hard time finding decent web designers, I'm not worried about what they charge at this point, but I need people with solid portfolios and really high class sites. Anyone know a listing or recommend designers that might fit this bill?

Good web designers are easy to find. What you want is a webdesigner that understands and is good with SEO to be more competitive. Getting the perfect blend is hard to find, but necessary, IMO. You'll probably find that person/ firm here! Good luck .

 

Finding a good designer is not easy to do, I'm pretty picky and without a solid portfolio of relevant sites, I'm not going to hire. I've been looking through lists and lists of them and nothing has really struck me to say "yeah they could do exactly what I want" If anyone has a good listing of designers or experience with some experienced designers, let me know.

 

Possibly if you post more details you may get better response here. Flash, php, html, sql etc. Describe more specific needs you have and my bet is someone will respond .

 

Well first template design in photoshop coded xhtml w3c valid. Though for now I am just looking for the design. I can do all the backend php/mysql coding myself. No programming needs to be done. I just need the design and its for my entertainment review site. I need something more competitive and will be spending the money on a quality designer and given the cost I expect the project to be, Im going to be picky with who I hire
