Where to check backlinks from free directories?

Hi, i want to know why in google.com/webmasters I can't find any backlinks from free directories. Is there any tools to check real backlinks or backlinks from directories doesn't count?

 

It is best to check backlinks with yahoo siteexplorer.

 

Yahoo gets great link information -- the Google webmaster section is much slower, but the links DO eventually show up. Stick with both Google webmaster and Yahoo! site explorer. Also, look into backlink analyzers such as Arelis, OptiLink, IBP, etc.

 

well, I don't see back links from free directories in Google webmaster tools, why is that? I submitted my site a while ago and of course I saw with my own eyes that my site is already listed in most of those free directories.

directory links take time for approval so best way is to check in google after 2 months.

 

wow. I must spen 2 month to see. But before this situation come to see. Has this been effected yet?

 

Google webmaster tools is very slow in reporting new backlinks ,yahoo siteexplorer is faster .

 

Maybe, Google Webmaster tools must check the quality first before making decision! right?
