I use seoquake to check page rank for my potential link partners and google webmaster tools to check back links - it's the most reliable back link checker to monitor back links coming to your site.

I am using backlinkwatch to check back links or go to google.com search link:domain.com. I am using google pagerank checker to check pagerank otherwise use pagerankinfo..
