GoDaddy is far from cheapest. Probably, the cheapest one is Name.com atm.

if you are not buying domains in bulk, do not think cheapest, think best service. Personally I would rather pay a few more $ per year to be with namecheap. Also there are always coupons which reduce the price.

As of now, who is privacy is free of cost.Means no extra charge for renewal.
But the domain costs $5.99 for the new first year registration only.Renewal costs more.;)

    Renewals are $7.99 at name.com

The 5.99 first year is actually BELOW their cost so don't expect any registrar to meet that year after year.
    The free privacy continues.

At GoDaddy you can usually get free privacy if you reg 5 domains but have to pay for it on renewals (around $9 each i think) they also make it hard to remove so I got burned with a bunch of privacy charged on some of my auto-renewals. If you don't want privacy GD is still a little cheaper at $6.95/year w/coupon.

Right now,it costs $7.99 USD/1yr renewal for .com/net/org etc.Other extensions are also quite competitive.
I just stated the prices. But strictly I can n’t give you any suggestion about domain/transfer/registrations related queries. Please do research and ask senior professionals and get the best.
    Good luck !

Just remember, registerfly used to have some of the best prices. Price is not the only factor. This is your business, treat it as such.

Personally, I only use fabulous, moniker, enom and godaddy. All can have good prices, but more importantly are the most stable with customer service that responds.

I always use promo codes when i buy a domain from godaddy. I have had 2 domain register companies close down that i had domains with so i wouldn't trust others. If you use promo code hash3 that will give you a .com for just $6.95
