Would be thankful for your experience about buying banner advertising with different networks.
Which ones are big and have the biggest inventory?
    Thanks.

Very, VERY few here advertise. They don't have the brains for it. Plus, they are too wrapped up in noob methods that don't work, so you may not get many, if any, replies.

I don't know for a fact myself since I do my own advertising, but I have heard some good things from other advertisers about a few (not all) of the following:

TextLinkAds, TrafficSwarm, CasaleMedia, Advertising, FastClick, BurstMedia, TribalFusion, Azoogle, GlobalInteractive, AdBrite, Adengage, RealMedia, Kontera, Avnads, ValueClick, RealTechNetwork, Reduxmedia, and, Dotomi.

Buing banner placement would more than likely be best with a website in your niche at the top of SERPs offering to sale. Contact them and ask if they are willing to sale space though usually they will have something like buy this spot on there website. Personally I don't like spending money on advertising free methods have been suitable for the amount of traffic I was wanting.

*chuckles* I was thinking that myself.

I hear you, totemelf, and I agree. I would not have put any of those up if they were lame-ass "buy 100,000 visitors for $11.95" bullshit.

We are talking a dollar amount that is well over $5,000 to get that many.

Buying traffic, "advertising," in another word, is NOT cheap!
