    Hi,

I want to buy a domain name and I don't know what is the best deal, from what company? I read about transfer of the domain and I don't understand what means. What should include a good offer of a domain?
    thanks.

If you are going to buy an average new .com/.net/.info/.org domain name godaddy gives you best deal considering its the cheapest with decent services and free goodies.

In a simple language domain transfer is the process of changing registrar(company you buy domain from) of a domain name.

Full control of the domain name I buy is the main priority for me while buying a domain name.free goodies generally include free basic hosting for a month/free email/free privacy etc.

    Hope it helped.

I've used godaddy, namecheap, 1and1, and others. For the most part pricing is similar after you apply readily available coupons. Be careful about hosting with the same company you register your domain with. If you ever have a disagreement with them about hosting services and lock you out, you can't even point your domain to a new hosting company. Whereas if you have different hosts/domain registrar you can always point to a new host if necessary.

Well, it will be not so easy to find available domain and register it now..
There are many domain suggestion tools that you can use to reg a domain.

Besides, try to search for domains at Sedo and Namepros..

I would recommend you Godaddy.com and don't forget to use the coupon code cjc749dom to get a .com for $7.49.

I use only namcheap.com , with godaddy you can have surprises when you want to transfer it from them, you need codes, etc, and is taking time, so my suggestion si to go with namecheap with coupon ;)

This still amazes me, all you people saying GoDaddy.
You do realise if you search a domain, in GoDaddy, then don't buy it and find a cheaper registrar elsewhere, try to buy it, well you can't. GoDaddy owns the name. Or didn't you realise this?
This is why I will never use them, especially to search domains.....
    Personally I use dynadot.com
I found them to be very reliable, easy to use, contact, etc.
Though as Captain Planet would say:
    "The Power is Yours!"

The provider is completely up to personal preference. - My favorite would be NameCheap.com

Most providers will offer basic tools for a small fee, some of these include "Whois Protection" (keeps your personal contact information hidden from a search on the domain) and redirection management (in case your host doesn't allow direct NameServers and prefers CNAME).

The average (and reasonable) price for a .com domain is around $10 (USD). If you pay more than $15 without a lot of extra features, you're being taken advantage of.

I use Godaddy and NameCheap. Used to have some domains at eNom too but they are troublesome.

I recommend internetbs.net (cheap) or name.com (easy and simple) or Godaddy.com (most popular)

You will be able to enter a coupon code before paying for your domain and it will give you a discount on the price.

To find coupons go to google, or your favorite search engine, type in the name of the registrar and the word coupon or discount. A large number of web sites offering coupons will come up. Copy the coupon code and use it at checkout.
