    actually you still can buy domain from godaddy. but don't pay using paypal (non cc) . but buy with godaddy gift card. you can search seller godaddy giftcard

    I think GoDaddy is cheapest & I'm using them for last 5 Yrs without any problem. (Generic TLDs). Yes paypal option is there.

    I have to go with Namecheap for buying domains, I have actually got some good coupons every now and then, sometimes they have some offers via facebook. I don't like GoDaddy for anyting at all, just don't have good experiences with them.

    domainsarefree.com you can have $4 for first year, but after 6 months please move it to other domain registrar. the 2nd year is quit expensive.
    also you can use paypal or creditcard.

    and don't register under same account.
