Where to backlink from???

I'm working on a small gig where the owners of the site (page rank is 2) may want me to do some backlinking. The theme of the site is clothing. I will be backlinking from social bm (DoFollow of course) sites. Also I will be writing an article and putting it on EZineArticles.com. When it comes to forums/blogs - there aren't a whole lot of clothing forums that have high PR and is doFollow. My question is - would I be better off leaving a sig link from an "off-topic" blog that has a PR of 5 (and is doFollow) or from a clothing blog that has a page rank of one?

I'm sure there's very high PR fashion and celebrity blogs / forums. I think you're not looking for the correct topics.

There is a value in any backlink you get. But the value would be high when it is coming from a site which same as yours. So try to build more backlinks keeping those facts in mind.
