Where to advertise with $20,000.

What would you do to advertise (in terms of only reaching new customers) if you had $20,000?

Which advertising networks would you use?
    -Commission Junction?
    -AdBrite?
    -Google/Yahoo?
    -Text Link Ads?
    -LinkWorth?
    -Widget Bucks?
    -ValueClick?
    -TNX.net?
    -Any other ones?

How about magazines, and newspapers? Giveaways? Promotions? Radio? Thanks.

So what would you do? Thanks. I'm looking to seriously spend some money on my advertising now, but of course I'm looking to spend my money as best as I can.

Please state the reason for your choice of places to advertise!

    Google/Yahoo - $5,000
    Magazines -$5,000
    Newspapers $5,000
    Radio - $5,000

If there was more $ it would be T.V. of course... and maybe in some model ads :D

Television advertising would get you the best results. With that money if you can run the ad for three months, it will pay off.

If you really have that much money, I think you can find a few bloggers with authority and high traffic to create the buzz for you. I know you will be getting more targeted traffic with services like Adwords but if just want coverage, try to go through the blogosphere way.

Spend $100 on 100 different ideas, pick the top 9 that performed the best and spend $1000 each on them.

Pick the top 2 of those 9 which performed the best and spend $5000 on each.

It goes by the saying... "don't put all your eggs in one basket."

Very solid advice. If I was planning on advertising on such a large scale I would look to work with this kind of model for sure.

    If i were you,

i'd save all that money up,
and use $5k to hire someone to do the advertising for me,

with of course a FULL report of what have they done with your money~
and see how much traffic you get (and you'll get to learn PRECIOUS Information),

Don't go for advertising firms that enclose what they're doing,
because you don't get to learn....

now, basically you'll get 2 kinds of traffic,
one kind that grows over time (SEO / ARTICLE / ETC)
second kind is that it'll give you sudden burst of TRAFFIC (TNX.COM / ADWORDS / ETC)

in my opinion go for the first one first,
build up your site's content, make it SEO friendly, and SE friendly,

    after awhile (Time to wait),
you'll see traffic growing, (remember to use to google webmaster tool)

now, this is CRUCIAL if you don't see your traffic growing organically,
that means your site isn't interesting enough to get (RETURNING VISITORS),
So giving your site the "second option" of sudden burst of advertising is USELESS~!!!

go back to the person that you hire and ask him why isn't my site's SEO and search engine Traffic isn't growing??
ask the person to tweak your site to make it more interesting, pay him for that,

then after awhile if you see growing traffic,
    MONITOR your returning visitors,

    when it reaches 20%~40%,
you know the time is RIPE,

"THIS MEAN YOUR SITE IS WORKING FOR YOU",(isn't that why we turn to internet business)??
and it is time to rake in your harvest,

    start buying TRAFFIC (second option),
and you'll see your traffic grow naturally

if there's anything i can be of service just pm me,
and i'll give you some of my opinions (gesture of good faith, welcome to DP) :D:D
