    Awesome, people, thanks again :D

mhdoc: that's sound advice for hitting the GC thanks :)
sitetutor: I need to check the mood factor here: party like a loony or take in some culture - hold on, it's the same thing ain't it?
Anthony: LOL - sitetutor's got cheerleaders? Hook me up and I split the comission 50/50
whhomes: Hey dude, if I'm there the same time I'll see you for a beer :) and I'd bust the traffic by strapping the bike to the back of the hire car, Anthony.
cafemonkey: Good stuff. Dad was in Boston for ages, so I'll ask him what he thought too. "wandering" and off-the-cuff stuff is what I used to do too, but it doesn't always work so I'll have to ask Anthony if he can be the concrete footings tour guide - it's OK, Toyota pickups are cool :)

I spent two weeks in San Francisco a couple of years ago. The city itself is well worth exploring. If you're interested in photography then it's a perfect location. You've got a lot of multi-cultural input too.

If you like your beer, you'll find some excellent small "mini-brew" pubs if you look for them. When I was there I moved around from one location to another which certainly helped.. but there are so many locations within easy reach of San Fran, you could treat it like a launching pad to visit other places of interest (Las Vegas for one!) :)

I would love to go back some day... hopefully soon!!

Hey Paul, nice to see ya again :D

Sitetutor didn't like SF much (said I had to take smokes for the old, old hippies) but I have good visions from having played "Metropolis Street Racer" on the Sega Dreamcast back in er... '99?

Good to hear a Brit's vew so that's me trying to pin things down again :D

Maybe I could go SanFran and hit Vegas AND the GrandCan...?

Hi Lever, good to see you again too!!

Sounds like the makings of a plan to me! :D
Try to catch the mighty redwoods to the North of San Fran.. I hired a bicycle and hiked up to Muir Woods one day... just cycling over the Golden Gate was worth the cost of the hire! :)

paulhiles: cool as; OK, plans being hatched... :D

barrow: hey, hey, sounds cool, dude. If you got girls with MIT brains and the bodies of sitetutor's SanDiego cheerleaders then I think I'll be a happy man... + some good music will go down a storm :) Likewise you wanna hit Farnborough, the cultural centre (NOT) of NE Hampshire then just shout :D

I have gotta go with Las Vegas and surrounding areas. Las Vegas is a true showing of how fun America can be and then the surrounding areas like Red Rocks and Grand Canyon show the true beauty of the good ol USA

I'd better start totting up the votes, scriptdungeonadmin. Looks like the Vegas, GC tour is getting more votes than anything...

...though I do feel drawn toward the beautiful scenery in San Diego ;)

Lever, San Diego is a place to move to and stay, not a place to go on vacation because you will never want to leave.

So save your money and just move there because you will not wish to leave the place.

I would go to Maui...it won't give you a good feel for the mainland, but you will get a good feel for Maui. Even when it rains in Maui it is a great day.

don't visit the south unless you have a tight budget or have a vested interest in nature. We don't have much else to offer aside from cheap excursions and a few nice vistas in the applachians.

Anthony: Then I'd move to San D, stay and be able to visit anywhere virtually whenever I liked, right? Forrest Gump ran across the states, surely I'd be OK on any of my bikes :D

chachi: :) Maui huh? That's Hawaii, right? - It may be a US state but its gotta be (quite literally) far from being America? Even when it rains in our Lake District I love it - though i don't suppose it even gets cold in Maui?

david_sakh: cheers, dude :) I'd really love to see the whole country whatever, but I gotta do it step-by-step for now. I wil see the south sometime but some places are getting chalked up for popularity beyond what I expected...

San Diego is the best weather year round that you will find in the USA period, that is the reason to stay there.

Bottom line is Shawn and VS were lucky to be born there or live there or whatever you want to call it.

See Lever, you should make San Diego your last stop on the vacation and your next place to live.

yeah, Maui (yes, it is in the state of Hawaii, but is an island) will take you about 4 hours by plane from California. So, fly down to SD, get some Fred's with Sitetutor and some of the other locals, take a 5 minute car ride to the airport and fly over to Maui. No worries. :)

Lever, you seem to be great promoter here on Digital Point, maybe when you get to San Diego you can produce a talk show, because your threads are becoming like one.

I am sure that by the time you move to San Diego that forums like this will be in real time video as broadband advances and TV and the Internet converge.

Thus your talk show thread format is ahead of it's time and you are on the cutting edge of a new career here.

I am sure that when you become the next David Letterman, you will be able to date many young female movie stars and supermodels that appear on your late night TV/Internet/Forum/Talk show.

You will have so many young ladies on your show that you will have to beat them down, so women are the least of your worries and could become your problem. :p :D

ROFL - And you still have the job as my agent, OK, Anthony?

That last line reminds me of a Scottish friend's most poignant advice "be careful what you wish for, you might just get it" - wise words indeed. Modesty rules :)

Fred's is a cheap and "healthy" mexican food place in Pacific Beach. When I lived there, I ate there at least twice a week.

Maybe that can be the backdrop of the first "Lever Show", he can have you and SiteTutor on as guests :p

I won't watch that segment, but when Shakira comes on to do a live performance you can bet that I will be watching and recording :p :)

    Jethro say YEEEHAW :D
