Where should I try to sell french article writing and french translation services?

As the title says, I'm looking for places to sell these services, I've had my fair share of places already and so far, the results are quite demotivating.

I'd love to hear about your tips and hints on this question.

Well, this is a pretty narrow niche. You would have a greater success with Spanish, since it's popular in both the Europe and North America. Did you try Canada as part of your advertising efforts?

 

You can try freelance websites like Freelancer,Odesk,Eguru or craigslist. The pay will probably be abysmal at first, but if you do a job, you will get more work, for better rates.

 

Our advertising efforts so far have been only on forums and personal contacts. Would you happen to know any French speaking forums aiming at internet marketing or?

The problem is, we're not working for impossibly low rates, we have to pay our own force as well and they're all native, so they're not that cheap either.

I have actually browsed the freelance sites and as you said, the pay is abysmal, $0.50 for a 500 word article or something, that's slave labor.
