I just started a blog of my own and I have ads both on the side bars, the top of my post, and on the very bottom.. Made me 3 dollars my first day! :)

you can place ads on the top where the empty space looking so odd. second i would recomend you to use adsense code in the bottom of each post. use same blue colors which are being used in your theme. nice theme btw.

Thanks for the input, my blog uses wordpress 3.0.1, default 2010 theme.

Add adsense code in the bottom of each post is easy to do for me,
but the top is produced by a file called "header.php",
how can I add ads into the header region? by changing the header.php code???
I thought html code and php code can't mix.

use the ads size 336x280 text only at top sidebar, just 1 ads size and you'll be get more earned.

You can make an experiment on the placement of your ads. Try to rotate it to all possible locations. Through that way, you can find the best position for your ads in your pages. I did that experiment and I found the location below the title/description of my site gets the highest CTR.

As you rotate your placement, try also using different ad format so you can also test which ad format can give you the best CTR.

I like ads in between my posts. Under the title and on the right side kinda mixed in with the categories. Blend them all and you should be fine.

Oh mobius do you remember this???

Normally, I won't put adsense on my front page...just the individual posts and pages. I go with regular affiliate ads on the main page and adsense elsewhere, but that's just me.
