Where should I put the reciprocal links that I must have in order for a web directory to link to me? Should I create a special page for it? Your ideas please...
It depends on the requirements of the site/directory that you're trading links with. Some require it be on a page directly linked to the homepage. Some require it be a page that has been indexed by Google, while others require it have PR1, PR2, PR3 etc. On some sites with a lot of pages, I try to put the link on the page that most matches what the prospective link partner is focused on (that's for exchanging with regular sites, not directories). For directories, I pick the top 10 that I plan to trade with, make a page called Site Reviews or similar, and put all of them on that page, noting that it's linked from the homepage. Your mileage may vary...
if it doesnt need them on main page, make a link on main page to a page which has them all, a lot of the time if you just make a page with no way of getting ot it then they deny, but you never know.
Hi, There are plenty of directories out there that don't need a reciprocal link, so I would recommend you find them and skip the ones that want a back link. John
ditto, skip the linkback directories, unless they deal with your particular market niche forget about them.
