Here is my site: http://www.apopularitycontest.com Few months old now, and starting to get some traffic. I have been trying to think of where a good spot would be for an ad, and what type. Any suggestions?
You bet...but not at the cost of destroying the site with a whole bunch of ads. I was thinking of maybe a banner in top right like this forum.
just try it in a place for a week. Then move it and try ... keeping trying till you see where works best
If you are useing adsense you should try the wide text ads (google recomends them). Also you might try to put them below the descripton of you website. I would also try to make your page a little narrower and a little longer. Good luck
hi, full center of page is always the best. On the right side, nearly nobody looks at. It's a choice. If you want to earn quite a lot of money, show ads at the more convenient position for the human eye. In your case unfortunately, yous should have to redesign your site.
Thanks everyone. I did try a couple of spots to see how it will work out, and I may try the header soon. Fun trying to find the right spot that is good for advertisers, and also not ugly for visitors. I did make one change to site that basically improved the clickthru by at least twice as much. I changed the color of the site. The site used to be the same color as you see in my avatar. The ads just seemed to blend in. Now the ads stand out more, and everything seems to be a little easier on the eyes.
Just out of curiosity what kind of click thru are some of you getting with google ads? Better than 1%?
put either on the top of the page or at the center.make font size small. if possible modify the layout.
