Dont know if this is the right section to ask in, but say I wanted to outsource my adspace to an agency. Where would i do so ? Basically I dont want to advertise to get advertisers. Id rather let someone else sell my space and provide me with the necessary info. So who out there can do this for me ? And how much do they charge ? thanks in advnace.
Why not try something like adbrite? They will deal with all the hassle. You just make sure the advertisers are the advertisers you want.
With Google Adsense you just put up code on any page and that's it. They'll take care of what advertisers show up on your page based on the text on that page. Typically, you make about 10-15 cents per click (varies widely based on niche). With Commission Junction you choose from their list of affiliates, plug the code on your page, and typically get paid a percentage of each sale (usually around 10%, but varies as well).
Heres some ad networks that will be good. Heres some contextual ad networks that you may also find good to use. The ones further to the top are the best ones listed on this site. There the only 2 options that I could think of really. Ad networks and contextual ad networks. Good luck with this anyway.
Thanks for all the replies. I might not have described my requirements in detail. Im looking to sell banner space on my websites for a price I specify and for the timeperiod I specify. I am willing to give a cut of my income to an agent who handles the selling of my ad space and finding me a buyer. This outrules CPC/CPM ads (such as adsense and the like). I will look thru some of the links given. Thanks.
Adbrite lets you do that... I haven't had luck with them but MANY others do. I personally like a combination of AdSense/TLA/directly selling them myself. You can try advertising on the forum (buy/sell section) or simply put up a pic on your website that reads "This ad spot is for sale" Cheers. Pete.
