I'm making a 2d game for android that is going to need sprites , level backgrounds, and some splash screens. Where should I go to get the best art for the best price?

    Thanks.

Here is what I posted to deviant art.

I am an indie game developer/horrible artist, and I was wondering if I could get a quote from an individual for doing game artwork. The scale will be close to the following:

    -10 2D animated sprites (3 to 5 frames apiece)
-50 or so 2D static sprites (inanimate character parts, background/foreground objects like rocks/trees/structures)
    -2 or 3 backdrop splashes
    -5 to 10 repeatable textures

Most of the game sprites will range between 16x16 and 256x256 pixels, much like arcade classic style sprites. Some of the sprites will be used a pieces to combine into a more complex character.

I am looking for good, original artwork here, and I am willing to pay for it. I would like to discuss the artistic direction from a general level, and allow the artist to take creative license from there.
