Hi I have come across something I have found very odd and now don't really know what to do. 5 months ago we had change the description Meta tag on our homepage. Now our homepage changes on a daily bais and is visiting and updated in the google cache very regularly. However google listing is still showing the old description. My orginal though was to wait until google updating it but this doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon. The word in the description don't even appear on the site any more. What can I do to get it to update. Has anyone else come across something like this before?
Search for www.yoursite.com and then look to your description if is it the same as in meta destricption. If you search for som ekeywords google show in snippet this keywords and not what is on your description... clear?
The text is definately the old desciption. It's not showing snippets of the page because the text that is being shown was never on there and the description was removed 5 months ago. Any ideas?
Thats strange, I once changed the description tag, and google updated it when it was crawled. Can you show us the URL for your site?
