Where I can get a Directory site designed?

    Hi All,

I'd like to start a directory site and as a web designer I know a fair bit about HTML etc. but don't really have time to do build it myself.

Does anyone know where I might find myself a reputable site/freelancer that would be willing to build a directory for me - at a reasonable price?

Ideally i'd like to just have the whole sites source supplied to me so that I can brand it myself and then host it.

All ideas on the subject greatfully received...

    Liam.

What do you consider to be a reasonable price?

Is there a reason you don't want to use PHPLD or something for free? You can brand / template that to your heart's content, and the source is already there...

I've only been a web designer for about a year now and ive yet to do anything with PHP and guessed it might be fairly time consuming getting to grips with it initially. I just thought it would be better to pay someone to do it for me allowing me the extra time to brand it myself. Anything under a $100 for the right site would be good.

I can see you're point, but in reality you're going to have to deal with the PHP at some point: your branding / templates are going to be PHP based, so you're still going to have to deal with it.

I'm not trying to discourage you from paying someone, I'm just trying to encourage you to try it yourself... Install XAMPP on your PC for a local environment and give it a shot.

Just to let everyone know I actually went with the latest phpLD script in the end.
Pretty pleased with it as well. Very customizable, easy admin area.
Plus the email notification side of it's ace.
