Every time I want to design a header for my site, I will search for a picture that will suit my site topic. Mostly I end up using private label header or already made header. The problem is that all this header not giving me a full satisfaction. I always think that there will be another website that using the same header. What I want is a unique header that only one in the world. The second problem is if I found picture that suit my needs, the pictures are always a not free picture. Sometimes you have to exchange link, pay royalty, cannot for commercial use, not for sale, includes watermark etc. I just want to know if anybody here know where I can find an absolutely, totally free picture that can be use anyway you want without paying royalty, without subscribing, or at least near to that. The "problem" is that any "free" imaging sharing tool is going to have a disclaimer saying they accept no responsibility and so even if you get the photo for free believing it is copyright free you can still be sued if it turns out not to be copyright free. Why not just pay the massive $1 that is required by the likes of istock where you therefore have much stronger grounds should anything go wrong?
I also use sxc.hu but I find their selection and quality are not as good as paid stock photo sites. But hey! ...they're free right! My favorite is bigstockphoto.com you get bigger pics (more pixels) for less money than istockphoto.com
