Take my word for it and use Godaddy. They have an extremely easy user interface. All sorts of features and you can even get coupons there .
There is a one little thing with Godaddy, their offers are annoying! But, yes you can use Godaddy, but i would recommend to use 1and1.com or Internetbs.net!
There was recently a promotion at godady. I've bought a .com + a .info for $0.99 Here is the coupon code: 99INDY I'm not sure it's still works though. Try it out!

but, i heard that the renewal price for that company is not so decent, is that true ? I am expecting registration price same as renewal price.
Another option is Mydomain.com with coupon or a .com at Dotster is $8 with coupon bargaincat. I listed some of their coupons on the Dotster coupon thread
Maybe you can try DomainHouse.in . This registrar has comparitively lower prices and is also offering 1 GB Webspace and unlimited bandwidth free with every domain.
Use Godaddy with coupon code. you can search it in Google. I only do with Godday as i prefered it so much.
