They have been around for awhile and are part of Dotster (Mydomain are for more advanced domainers from what I understand). They were also the company that gave away 25 free dot infos a few years back to anyone who wanted them and I have used their free domain forwarding service a few years ago. They are also the company who gave Registerfly users a bail out with the cheap transfer recently for Registerflies users. I have been moving many of my 500 odd domains to them and I quite like their service. The only complaint is I would like to see a bulk domain modify copy & paste form like Godaddy have but I recently requested this so I think they are working on it.

This seems to be pretty cool. Is this applicable for renewals also?

Seems to be a good deal then GoDaddy. Is it possible to transfer the domain from MyDomain to some other service provider after registertation like ENom etc?

I'm also interested in buying 30-50 .info domains.
But if I buy at godaddy with the coupon code 99info what will be the price the next year?

Godaddy just raised their price to $2.99/first year but there are promo codes out there (a LOT of them) that actually do work.

    Google it.

if you want a private registration, godaddy need to have at least 5 domains registered.

    currently 1and1.com has free private domain registration but the price is 2.99;

any one has experience with 1and1 ?

Previously Afilias used to run promotion under which majority of registrars offered .info at cheap rate but promo is over now.

Effective from July 01, 2007 .INFO domains will be available for registration at USD 3.00 as part of Afilias’ 2nd Half 2007 Growth Program

So everyone.. which is better - MyDomain.com or GoDaddy.com? Their .info prices are the same, give or take $0.02.

You can try our service, mrwebstarter.com, I have .info on sale for $1.99.

We basically just started and are reselling Wild West Domains, or GoDaddy. We practically offer the same service but cheaper than GoDaddy, and instead of giving the money to the big corporation you'll be helping the little guy.

    Thanks.

How much is Godaddy now? I think they'ye got a promo of 99 cents with a coupon code, but they don't mention you've gotta add 20 cent ICANN fee on top.

With MyDomain, if you use the coupon Bargaincat.com, it brings down the total cost to $1.03 all inclusive.

Both companies are reputable, just up to your personal choice.

Sorry, don't mean to hijack this thread - but I was wondering why people buy so many domains. How do they make money from all those domains?

OK, prepare the list of those 1000 domains (or maybe 1100 just in case) once with the .info suffix and once without it while you get informed about any 0.99$ special running :D

yes the cheap info's with code "bargaincat.com" are still available or any order (save 15%), I'm actually going to register quite a few myself later tonight. I also was told today that this code can now also be used at Dotster. You also get extra discounts after 5 domains and then 50 etc as well last time I got some myself.
