Hi, i have problems with some DP members, especially those who are so active in link exchange section. You know that I did so many link exchanges and most of those link exchanges are not traditional reciprocal or traditional 3-ways link exchange. I only did several footer or resource link exchanges. Mostly, I put my partner's link in one of my inner web pages and integrate his anchor text within my article. I try my best to make his link look natural. In return, he will do the same to my other site. Basically, this is 3 or 4 or even more ways link exchange but it's not reciprocal. Sometimes if you see at my web page, you even might think the external link looks like a natural link because I put not only my targeted anchor text but sometimes the full domain name. With this method, I get the first spot in a competitive keyword since few months ago until today. However, not everyone understand about this so when they asked me via PM, I tried to explain the same thing again and again to different people. Sadly, not all DP members are honest. Some of them deleted my link and probably they thought I would forget. Of course I never forget because I always saved all the data of my link exchanges, including about their usernames (or their emails if they contacted me through email). Now of course I need to find more links to replace my older links that have been deleted by these cheaters. But where? Usually if I contacted people through emails, they would never answer my email. Even if they replied, then I replied back, they disappeared and never replied anymore. I don't know where else to find link partners beside at DigitalPoint, where else? Don't tell me to build links in a different way. I know how to build links. BUT the thread here is all about link exchanges for SEO, not about the other methods so please don't reply anything unrelated to this thread.
You can add few links of good relevant website yourself and later contact the webmaster showing their links on your page with request to add your links too. I have not worked on it but it seems good idea to solicit links.
Well, if you do that, it's just all the same with traditional link exchange. I mean, where you will add those links? In your resource (link) web pages? Mate, this is 2008. My link exchange method is not like this.
That is part of reciprocal goodwill to get attention, I don't think that has been changed overtime. Another steps for you; Produce great content, you will find people will linkback you.
@bobchrist: i know about good content but that's not the topic of this thread. @rajathens: i don't need any SEO help
