Where else do I submit my sitemap?

    Hi,

I just uploaded a nice new automatically generated sitemap to google (http://www.coffeesh0p.com/sitemap.xml) through their webmaster tools.

So how to I submit it to yahoo, msn etc? Do they have a similar service? Can I include a <link> or <meta> tag perhaps, to let everyone know where the XML sitemap is?
I have a link on the bottom of my page to a manually created sitemap for users (http://www.coffeesh0p.com/sitemap/), but the automatically generated one contains a lot more info, such as forum posts etc.

So, how do I do this?

    Thanks.

adding it to your robots.txt file the best solution for you.

    Sitemap:yoursitemapurl.xml

    Excellent, thanks.

I've put my sitemap in yahoo's site explorer and in my robots.txt. Is there a similar location I can submit it to and monitor it with MSN?

Just remember sitemaps is only the very start of the equation to getting your site indexed and on the SERP's. Don't think you are done. You need to embark on a link building campaign with targeted anchor text in good quality links.

IMO sitemaps only really assist to guide the SE's around your site. A sitemap alone will not really get you anywhere. If you had a sitemap and no links and no content you would get nowhere, good links, good content and no sitemap you will get somewhere. You have a decent amount of links but you have to keep going.

Thanks glengall1 for the advice. I found this sitemap submitting idea during my quality link farming/SEO campaign. I don't have any PR4 backlinks yet :/ , but I am still looking for directories and such to befriend.

What do you mean by that?
Instead of sitemap-index.xml, sitemap1.xml, and sitmep2.xml you sugest to rename tham keyword1.xml, keyword2.xml keyword3.xml (in case I have a few thousand pages:)) or for a limted amount of sitemap file you seuggest to use topkeyword.xml instead of sitemap.xml... Did I get it right?
